Tuesday Special #3

Tuesday Specials

I had an idea about supporting my husbands fine art paintings. I will call it “Tuesday Specials” and will bring every Tuesday one painting out of his collections of pictures of Key West.

The pictures are works painted in Acrylic and/or Oil medium and some of them are already owned in famous collections all over the globe. The originals are available to buy for the art collector and art lovers, starting at
$ 695 up to $ 4’500
based on sizes. There are also prints available to buy. For prizes see our website: www.vanhulstart.com. For special requests please write a email or call: 305-395-0326.

Last strolling and maybe the last sunset too

The pier by the Southernmost House is jammed with tourists every evening. All cameras are ready for this glorious sunset event.

The sun is waiting some minutes for her appearance behind the clouds...

Here she comes...

and then she sinks like a fireball into the ocean.....

And all around me, the people are clapping their hands, happy and overwhelmed to see an other grandiose spectacle from mother nature.

After to see it for 7 years almost, it's still for me too, an exciting big show.

Evening lights at Mallory Square

People are sitting at the pier and waiting for the sunset...

while in the mean time all the sunset cruisers are leaving the harbor.

The Liberty Clipper just finished setting up the sails

for sailing into the setting sun.
Last night was not a spectacular sunset at all, like the nights before.
The sky was free of clouds and in a cold winter color of orange and yellow.

Sunset Cruises

It's definitely worth the price you pay for a ticket on one of these sailboats, catamarans or schooners to watch one of the magnificent sunsets that takes place almost every evening in Key West.

I see a Boat.....

I see a boat on the river
It's sailing away
Down to the ocean
Where to, I can't say
Boat on the river
It's sailing away
Down to the ocean
Where to I can't say

I waited for him
Such a very long time
Don't know what for
'Cause I should have known
When he left on that boat
We'll meet no more

Boat on the river
You're bound for the sea
If you should find him
Please great him from me.

There were people who came
And said it's really a shame
Why did he take off
To follow just a dream
But I guess they were wrong
In life you're sailing along
And this thing don't turn out
As simple as they seem.

I see a boat on the river
It's sailing away
Down to the ocean
Where I can't say.
